The 2021 Grammy Awards are around the corner!
This telecast will mark it’s 63rd Annual Grammy Awards ceremony. However, there has been heavy uncertainty of a broadcast or ceremony execution since the whole entertainment industry was rocked by the COVID-19 pandemic which started from Wuhan, China.
Owing to this, there has been uncertainty and hooma loompa surrounding eligibility period! But it seemed some artists have released their work despite the deadly pandemic the world is fighting with. Finally, it is ascertained Songs and albums are eligible if they were released from September 1, 2019, through August 31, 2020.
This eligibility period is new for the Grammys.
The recording academy moved up their calendar in 2020 in response to the Oscars, which moved their ceremony up to early February, which was when the Grammys usually aired. So the Grammys shifted their telecast to early January and adopted an eligibility calendar that ended a month earlier.
So the burning hot question is When does voting for the nominations take place? According to our sources recording academy members will vote for the nominees from September 30, 2020,to October 12, 2020! And so are the dates of voting period. Keep in mind these are for the nominations.
After shortlisted nominations are announced, recording academy members will pick the winners from December 7, 2020 to January 4, 2021!
